I got waitlisted too!!
3.4 gpa, ESYS ecology, evolutionary biology/animal behavior major from Irvine Valley College. Not many ec’s But rather working a lot, and working two jobs that were related to my major. But does everyone rejected get an option to be on the waitlist?
Really crossing my fingers for this.
@anthonydavis What the, that’s so unfair. A part of me wants to go to the admissions office and be like, “Can I speak to your manager?” But thank you! I wasn’t disappointed when I got the initial rejection but when I saw everyone else posting their stats then I got annoyed smh! My #1 is UCI! I already submitted my SIR. I live in the LA area so it’s closer than SD and the campus is beautiful and safe
waitlisted cs 3.5 gpa from the big D de anza college.
~WAITLISTED~
Major: Computer Science
GPA: 3.84
IGETC: Complete
Pre-reqs: Done by Spring
Tons of waitlists for CS, I assume there’s a chance we would be admitted as Undeclared if we do get accepted
Waitlisted as an International Business major. Do we really have to wait until the end of July to receive an answer?
Waitlisted for Econ! UC Davis is my fall back right now, & I’m still waiting on UCI…
@hellooooo32 going off previous years’ waitlist threads, people were notified mid may. not sure what they were told in terms of when they would be notified though …
Made this account just for this thread!!
WAITLISTED for Bioengineering
3.7 GPA, full time job, several internships, LOTS of ecs and volunteer hours
I’m honestly just really confused because my lab partner was admitted with a 2.8 GPA and he has a lot less on his portfolio than me… Don’t get me wrong! i’m super happy for him but at the same time !!! lol
ECON WAITLIST. GPA 3.90 LOL
Yeah I got waitlisted too…

@anthonydavis I seen u in alot of transfer threads, I really hope you get in my dude!
@alexaaaaa your lab partner was admitted to bioengineering with a 2.8 GPA? Did you see the acceptance letter?
You should definitely call and ask and bring up your lab partner (nicely), but tell them you’re confused. But verify his acceptance first.
@jaceymoo omg Irvine is a great campus I think I might end up going there too!! I live in Arcadia so it’s close to home as well. Would you live on campus? I heard vdc is awesome
@jayshah12 dude thank you!!! I really wanna go to either UCLA or UCSD, I have to appeal to UCLA for a reason I mentioned a few posts ago, super lame, but UCSD is such a great campus I really hope I can go there. What are your other choices?
@Veronicuhh nope! A rejection letter does not give you the option to waitlist, so we are part of the maybes
Ok how UCSD gonna have 6 different colleges and still not have any room for us smh
@anthonydavis Did you get accepted to Irvine already?? No, living on campus is not an option for me right now because I already live out on my own in an apartment and my lease isn’t up until November and I love where I live so I’m going to stay. If the commute gets too bad then I’m going to look for my own place off campus in Irvine But the on campus housing looks awesome!
@Ohm888 it was for biological science! (which is a capped major so i was 100x surprised) i was right next to him when he opened his letter
@jaceymoo yes I did! I might have to SIR there which I’m actually really excited about, what would you say your favorite thing about Irvine is? I haven’t looked into the campus that heavily
