<p>I heard they got a lot more apps this year than last year though… so that’s probably why it’s taking them longer. I love how UCSC did it, they had an EXACT DATE with times. Now that’s what I call organized.</p>

<p>Honestly kids, prepare to wait until April 30th. Last year they released admissions in batches, first one in late March, then mid April then 4PM on April 30th. Also if you can sign up for transfer admit day you’re usually in :D. </p>
<p>Oh yeah be prepared for the possibility they put you in the wrong college as well… I got my 4th choice last year (ERC 
), that was fun.</p>

<p>^ it’s possible… but unlikely. </p>
<p>The policy is that they will switch you into a different college, but only if someone from the college you wish to switch into wants to switch into your current college.</p>
<p>From the auto-generated e-mail I got from them when I requested a college change (within 5 minutes of being accepted haha).</p>
<p>" For newly admitted Fall Transfer students, we maintain a list of college change requests and facilitate those that we can accommodate on a one-on-one basis as space permits. That is, if a student from Thurgood Marshall College is requesting a change to Muir College and another transfer student from Muir College requests a change to Thurgood Marshall, we would be able to change their colleges laterally."</p>
<p>The problem is that if you’re placed in Revelle or ERC very few people from Warren, Muir and Marshall will want to switch.</p>
<p>I wish you guys the best… they really don’t want you to switch colleges so hopefully you get the ones you want. Which is unfortunate because Revelle sucks if your a liberal arts major and ERC sucks if you’re a science or engineering major.</p>
<p>If you guys have any questions just fire away… I did this whole song and dance with UCSD last year (I was one day away from move-in before I was 100% sure UCSD wasn’t for me, so I did everything sent in transcripts, enrolled in classes, housing etc.). I’m doing it all again this year (except not applying to UCSD this year) so I’ll be around to help out nervous applicants.</p>
<p>i just tried getting to myapplication.ucsd.edu and i got this message “MyApplication is currently unavailable to allow for system maintenance. Please check back later in the day.” The page wont load, i think they are posting some decisions but hopefully is not only for freshman… i want to know already :S</p>

<p>I think i will get rejected… i just went to the housing application and it says this
"Housing Application for Fall 2011-2012</p>
<p>Our records indicate that your admissions status will not allow you to proceed with this Housing Application process for the term indicated. Please contact The Village Residential Services Office at 858-534-9380 during our normal weekday office hours of 8am to 6pm."</p>
