^ same here i’m a bio major and i know i won’t be getting into bio because of my GPA but i do have TAG so i’m hoping i will get in as my alt.

but that just shows that i will be waiting for a really long time. First they have to review my app for bio then decline me then see my alt. major and TAG then possibly accept me??

not sure but i know i will be waiting mid-April

UC Gpa 3.1 btw

@Pianocat

It does not make sense that we do TAG with UCSD but for us Bio majors they do not guarantee entrance into the major only into the school. That completely beats the purpose of the TAG itself.

yeah i know so hopefully we will get into your alt. majors with TAG

but i’m implying that even though our alt. majors are non-impacted they still have to see our stats as bio majors thus making us wait longer. I mean if they saw my app and see a 3.1 as a bio major and see psych as my alt. then i would probably be accepted by now as a psych major… but who knows

@alvaro,

no it doesnt. Even if your a bio major, you are given PRIORITY over the non TAG bio majors. For example, if it is a borderline decision between a 3.8 GPA with no tag and your (lets say) 3.75 gpa WITH a TAG, they will give priority to the TAG. So it does help some bit.

Great!!! That is releaving!!! I will stop reading this post otherwise my girlfriend is going to kick my ass for not paying attention to her. I will check on monday.

Where did you guys check for admissions updates?

I can’t log into tritonlink, so I can’t even view my application status! I’ve tried changing my password, but the new password doesn’t work. What am I doing wrong?

If I didn’t get in today is it bad news?

3.8 history major

tag

some credits from an OOS cc but most and most recent from CCC

Accepted. 3.3 GPA History major with tag.

Whats everyone doing for housing? I really want to live on campus. But most things I’ve heard about The Village transfer dorms have been negative. Apparently it’s also $1400 a month? I heard that a new part of it opened as well (East part?). Ahhh so many questions.

I finally figured out how to log in. My application hasn’t been reviewed though. 3.89 GPA/ Biochemistry/ No Tag

@ yheafreak
Herp derp, yeah, 3.5. Ha ha I typed 3.4, forgot it was a 3.5 and retyped the wrong number. I wish I somehow got a 4.5 though!

I’ll be living in The Village. It’s not cheap, but I don’t have a car, and I suspect all the affordable off-campus places have extremely long commutes via public transit. Plus I like the thought of living on campus.

None of the Biology majors have been released at all. I am anxiously waiting. If i do get in i would like to live in Campus. Although i am still waiting for Cal and UCLA

ACCEPTED!
-To Warren College.
-I had a 3.81 GPA
-TAG applicant
-Philosophy Major.
UCSD is not my 1st choice however (It’s my 4th). Still waiting on UCLA, UCI (TAKING FOREVER) and UCSB. I also applied to USC as well.
Congratulations to whoever else got accepted to UCSD today! BTW were only transfer applicants notified today? oh and i also did not get an e-mail from UCSD telling me that my admission notification was up. why did they not send out e-mails? I had to check the application site on my own.

Mfml still wont load page!!!

Yeah I’ll be at The Village. I don’t think you can live at Muir if you’re a transfer.

@ Random_Monkey

myapplication.ucsd.edu

Sure you are using that site? Loads up for me just fine

"Thank you for your application to UC San Diego. We are currently reviewing applications for the Fall 2011 quarter.
