uhhh maybe a dumb question but how do you sign up for transfer admit day?! hahaha

I got into bio major last year with a 3.0 and tag and did not get denied bc my low gpa. I dont think gpa has to do with which major you get. I think its mainly based on how many major prep classes you have

@desertchick

last year the bio majors were not impacted. this year they are only taking the top 200 gpas.

^ wow really thats some good news

I still have some pre-reqs to finish though, i’m assuming you finished all of them for bio? thats why you got in with that GPA?

As long as you’re in, you can switch to any major easily as long as it is not impacted. Since Bio is impacted, you still have a chance to get in even if you don’t make the bio cut (since bio is impacted). desertchick had it easier her year but sadly, bio is now not that easy to get into.

Thx walleats

i don’t even care anymore if i get in as a bio major because i know i won’t due to my GPA. i just wanna make it in the school as my alt major already. but i guess they have to review me first as a bio major, hopefully thats the reason why they are taking so long

how do you know how much financial aid you get?

How many of you applied for Nanoengineering? Is that major impacted? Seems like not many engineers have been accepted yet :(

@redoplease in the acceptance message they just say “watch out for/save the day” for Transfer Admit Day :O

I guess they’re still solidifying some of the events details.

You check financial aid by signing into web portal and at bottom of acceptance page it has a button that says continue , press it. After there is a link for financial aid. I got in and 20k in aid

@SmcEngineer – only one engineering student has come forward in this entire thread announcing their acceptance. I think they were chemical engineering.

Hopefully bioengineering isn’t too impacted…

oh okay looks like i only get 18.5 k =( … anybody know how to check financial aid award for ucsc and ucr?

and @mytime09 you sent in housing apps?? I thought transfers are supposed to start sending in apps in may…

What if I am a Transfer student?
