UCSD Acceptance

^^hahaha 10 charrrrrrrrrr

i’m leaving for my cruise on saturday… i won’t have time to check :'(

I TAG’d but still haven’t heard back, Don’t TAG students hear back first?

If I don’t hear back by this 2nd batch am I as good as rejected or is it all random?

Also I know UCSD posts rejections on April 30th, do all UC’s post rejections on April 30th?

I am really nervous so any insight would be good before I go crazy, thank you

^ UCSD does release all there rejections on April 30th… but they also admit people up to the 30th. I had a TAG last year and was admitted on April 30th so no… TAGs aren’t admitted first.

thanks UCeric!

But do you also know if any of the other UC’s like irvine davis and sb post rejections all on the 30th like sd? or throughout the month?

Thank you !

UCeric is correct. My friend, who currently attended UCSD, was accepted on the very last day.

Im LMAO at how sure you guys are that the 9th will be the day.

I went through this last year and trust me the odds are about 50 to 1 when it comes to people predicting batches. If it is released on Sat it will be because of coincidence.

@lbc, it’s coming from someone who said an admissions officer told them that when they asked.

still not 100 percent, but its not just an estimate or guess either

^ Apparently people got that date from admissions.

I’m not holding my breath though.

do you guys know if other UC’s release rejections all on the same day? or does it depend on the UC?

Depends on the UC.

thanks grimes!

for uc’s like irvine, sb, and davis do they tell the applicants as they review them that they are or are not qualified?

or is it like a let’s tell all of the under qualified applicants on the same day type of deal

Sorry if my questions are so repetitious, I haven’t heard from a single UC yet and I just get more and more nervous by the day

Honestly, I think the UCs are overwhelmed by the number of applications this year, especially the jump in TAGs. Lots of us who should at least be competitive haven’t heard anything yet. Relax–you’re still okay.

@CShizzle77: Irvine doesn’t tell you until after they’ve accepted everyone. Not sure about the other two. I believe most wait until everyone is accepted, if not all, until they tell you you didn’t make it.

thank you nick scheu and grimes!

this whole waiting thing is just driving me crazy! I guess we’ll see what happens, I’ll just go occupy myself with school work

April 9th is the day.

And that’s that.

Lol I hope so.

I spoke with admissions and they refused to tell me a date…so Idk who this “somone” was who spoke with admissions.

Well…only a few more hours…till we find out if April 9th was BS or not haha.

Got the Big Envelope Today! Congrats on everyone else and good luck to those who are still waiting! =)

did your guy’s housing message change yet?

don’t know if that’s a good sign or anything

mine is still the same : (
