Wow… 75 pages of discussions and more than a month later since the last acceptance batch…and no word from the b i t c h y reps at UCSD …

I have not gotten into ucsd ucsb uci nor ucd… I want to kill myself

I had a 3.55 at the time of applying and I’ll have 110 units after spring quarter

Not actually, but I’m just stressed and sad

^^^ My housing status hasn’t changed either, but I don’t think it means rejection. I’ve read last year’s UCSD’s thread a while back and some ppl who were accepted weren’t able to apply for housing until later. What is your major? I have a 3.55 GPA also, for biochemistry, and I’m so worried because I’m not TAG-ed. I have not heard from UCD or UCSD, I’m stressed and sad too ;( I’ve just also been rejected too all the scholarships I applied to at my CC. Sighs…

I’m just anxious because I have not heard anything from a single uc I applied to and it’s the end of April : (

My major is computer engineering and alternate is computer science

^^^ I know what you mean. Did you TAG for UCI, UCD, and UCSB? I’m pretty anxious too, I can’t even focus on my upcoming midterm. If I don’t get into any schools I applied to, I may have to stay another year and I’ve been at a CC for 3 years… I don’t really want.

nah I didn’t qualify at that time : (

yeah I agree with you labecrouge, I’m ready to get outa here as I’m sure everybody else on this thread are too.

But one question is that can ANY of you guys login here??

https://aventeur.ucsd.edu/public/newparent/

when I tried they just told me I couldn’t and they copied down my PID kind of like a warning. Scared the hell out of me

My friend got accepted into UCSD as a math major. She actually didn’t have that high of a GPA, it was like 3.2/3.3 and she was qualified for TAG.

for TAG if you were not accepted into your primary major do they allow you into your alt major if it is not impacted??

@CShizzle77: Yes, that’s why TAG tells you to apply for a non-impacted major as your alternate.

@Grimes, thanks man

so what happens if my primary major is not impacted? Will they just allow me to get in with my primary major?

and say they think I am not qualified for my primary major, does UCSD ever look at the alternate major to decide whether they will still give you a spot?

Wait, is Econ: Management Science impacted at UCSD??

okay im a math major and i have all of my pre req class all done. Could ucsd deny someone if they have all their pre req done. My question is has anyone been denied from ucsd who had all the pre req done. Also if ucsd doesnt accept me for fall 2011 transfer student as a math major im going to enlist in the army. Who here is going to enlist in the army cuz their school wont accept them. If so please talk to me ur not alone.

Never mind, it’s not.

@cuirderussie: I’m sure it’s happened before. What are your stats?

@ramhammer i cant tell u my gpa cuz its too embarrassing but above a 2.0. I was wondering if ur in the same situation as i am. i have 65 units done already i’ve been accept to some csu last year and other out of state school but i didnt go cuz i wanted to attend ucsd. Please enlist in the army with me so i dont feel like an idiot okay man.

I was just thinking, and, its truly mind boggling how thoughtless UCSD is in releasing one batch of decisions and then not another for several weeks. It really makes you wonder what the methodology is behind such an aberrant admissions system. Wouldn’t it make much more sense to just release all the decisions on one date? Or even to release them in batches 2 weeks apart. It is absolutely nothing short of bizarre to release one batch and then keep everyone else in suspense for weeks. Truly makes you wonder… This should be used as an example of inconsiderate in the dictionary. This really reinforces the sentiments that these colleges truly do not give a F about the students, we are just numbers in there system that ultimately come down to bringing in more $$ for the school

@cuirderusie: Well, I think you need a 3.0 minimum to get into UCSD. So, I’m not really in the same boat as you. GL though man.

@ramhammer are u a math major if so how much pre req have u done. Also ucsd doesnt always look for grades many people got in with a high 2.0 grade.

if anyone out there is in my same situation please talk to me. If anyone want to enlist in the army cuz their school denied them please please talk to me. I cant take another year of cc its just pointless. Please ill give u my fb if anybody wants. Im so depressed and nervous someone please be in the same boat as me.

But I’m still nervous as f.uck and I have no idea w t f is going on anymore with UCSD.
