<p>So I got accepted to UCSD and looking at ‘My Financial Aid Preliminary Award Notice’.
It says I can get Cal Grant aid of $11,124. Is this true? or it’s just an estimate??
And it doesn’t say anything about Fafsa which is different from Cal Grant right??
What does you guys say??</p>
<p>I didn’t get an email from any of the UCs, I did get a mail package though… I only got an email from SDSU.</p>

<p>Fafsa shows up as Pell Grant, and if Cal grant doesn’t cover the 11k, but you qualify for blue and gold it will cover the 11k or what’s left.</p>
<p>Blue and gold covers the tuition. Not books or room and board.</p>

<p>If your parents household income is under 80K, and you are a California resident then you qualify for Blue and Gold. It will cover your fees and tuition that other grants do not. </p>

<p>I have a 3.87 GPA (history major). Also, I was accepted last year. I find it funny that I haven’t heard from them.</p>

If you don’t mind what are your stats? I’m still waiting on the same major (Comm), no housing app change & no tag. My first choice was Warren & I havn’t seen any Comm majors accepted to Waren yet. It only looks like a few majors have been accepted to Warren so far, but then again this is just a small population of applicants. Nervous :/</p>

<p>When I applied I only had a 3.48( Honor classes included). I also tagged. </p>
<p>Sucks that I raised my gpa to a 3.7 after winter quarter but berkeley and LA won’t be able to see it… at least USC will! :D</p>

That’s great Congratulations!! Maybe UCSD saw your new gpa in January after the transfer academic update? Or maybe your classes weren’t finished yet since you were taking winter classes…not that it matters since you have TAG–lucky! ha ha. I was relieved when I heard UCSD takes into account everyone’s gpa after fall 11, although mine would have been even better if they looked at my spring 11 gpa so i totally know what you’re sayin! at least you’re in the clear, all the non-taggers who don’t have extremely high gpas have to wait til the very end to see what kind of room they have…talk about nerve racking!</p>
<p>I TAG’d for Sociology (Science & Medicine) w/Anthropology (Biological) as my backup (I’m planning on switching to Cognitive Science after I’m admitted). IGETC complete, 3.31GPA. I still haven’t heard anything from them :-/ </p>

<p>NVM I just read the message above mine. ThANK YOU! I got scared. I just got in but my friend who is also TAGGED didn’t get in yet and I really wish that he would! I called him all excited and when he checked, he sounded so disappointed. It’s good to know he’s not alone!</p>

<p>Is it true that TAG is no longer guaranteed but they’ll still review it as they’re looking at your application?</p>
<p>@impatientkh: TAG stands for Transfer Admission Guarantee. Yes, it’s still guaranteed. It doesn’t guarantee you a major (never did) but it does guarantee you admission to the school.</p>

<p>I have TAG, a 4.0, a non-impacted major and I have NOT been accepted yet! I don’t understand why UCSD is doing this to me, keeping me waiting so long.</p>
<p>@deanzatransfer RIGHT?! You’re from DE ANZA? I have a friend who wants to transfer to UCSD from there, he’s also TAGGED but hasn’t heard anything. It feels nice to know he’s not the only one. I’m sure you’ll get in! And when you do, be sure to post it on here so I know! :)</p>
