Most likely gonna miss Admit Day/Open House this coming weekend due to previous commitments.

Am I missing out on anything big? i.e. forms, propaganda, announcements, etc.

Am I missing out on anything big? i.e. forms, propaganda, announcements, etc.

not really. admit day is basically just an open house. so, if you’ve never been to ucsd before, it’d be a good idea to get familiar with the campus. but if you can’t make it, it’ll be fine - just try to make a trip to ucsd another day. i’m pretty sure they do campus tours a lot because i see a good number of groups walking around campus every day :)

also, any information given on admit day will most likely be given to you at another time, so you don’t have to necessarily go this weekend.

a full day spent at ucsd in the company of students is just as worthwhile (if not more) than admit day.

Hey guys!
Did UCSD send you any information about admit day? Where do we park? Where’s the sign in booth? I’m going to be sooo lost this saturday!
If they did, can you guys send me links? Thanks !

^ I have not received anything either…Bump

parking will likely be in the pangea and gilman parking structures.

admit day does not require you to sign in. there will be an “itinerary” with a bunch of seminars that will be occurring throughout the day, none of these or anything else on admit day is required to attend. when you get there, there will be many students and staff to help you figure everything out:)

parking’s free anywhere if it’s a weekend.

*anywhere = metered, S, B, or A spot. NOT a reserved, 24-hour A, by-permit-only, or handicapped spot.

Just remember children, come check out the Pepband at Admit Day and say hi to us! We want to pretend like people like us.

You know, I do a lot of pretending here and there, but pretending to like UCSD Pep Band is definitely a full time job for me.

So…if you see pep band at Admit Day…do your best everyone~

@Kings: I was standing right next to the pep band for a while and probably saw you haha.

I was really tempted to walk right up to the pepband and ask “which one of you is kingselite?”
:D

My daughter wants to join the pep band (flutie)!!! We were on a tour and could hear it, but didn’t get the chance to see you guys in person. Who should she contact? Do you have a website? Admit Day was great! Thank you.

Not affiliated at all with UCSD Pep Band, but here you go!

@JeSuis

Probably. I was switching off between the cowbell and cymbals. Or I was taking pictures.

@yellowsuby

You should have. Only one person talked to me. :(

@SanDMom2011

That’s fantastic! If you want to message me her email address I can get her on our information email list. Oyama gave you our website and I can answer any other questions might have.

@Kings: you guys weren’t playing when I was there, and there were multiple white males! Haha

So the Warren dorms were awesome, and I like the location.

Kings - my son saw you play and loved it! I think he said he was the first sign-up! no names please…
