UCSD Biomedical engineering worth OOS Tuition?

So I want to major in Biomedical engineering as an undergrad and recently got accepted to UCSD. I live on the east coast and I am also looking at schools like Boston University, Case Western University, U of Rochester, and possibly Cornell (but its a reach). I havent been accepted to the U of Rochester or BU yet, but I am contemplating over whether the highly ranked bioengineering program at UCSD is worth the out of state price tag, especially when I have some decent merit scholarships to the other private schools I've already been accepted to.

*Note: I would really like to go to school on the west coast, especially in San Diego, but the academics and price value are also important for me.

which college were you accepted into? I am curious because I was accepted into Revelle and would like to pursue BME as well.

well ucsd is a leader in BME and there are a lot of BME companies down here so you will be able to get some good job opportunities. It is a very highly respected school within the business. It all depends on your unique financial situation though if its worth it

Oddwala: Cool, I was accepted to Warren.

Thanks ocpuck13, thats what I’ve heard.

Also, how significant do you think the effect of budget cuts on the BME program will be?
