Hi I am a prospective UCSD Student and i hope y’all can chance me as decisions are coming out
UC Gpa: 4.06. I have an upward trend in my gpa. Freshman year was around a 2.4, soph 3.5, and junior year 4.0
Senior year is also going well
SAT: 1430, 21/24 essay
SAT 2 math: 700…
Major: Data Science
because its uncapped i guess my major has nothing to do with my chances of acceptances at the moment.
Essays: I give all of them 8+/10. I worked very hard on them and no one can really say that theyre the best in the world. But I can happily say theyre solid, and that I am very proud of them.
ECS:
To keep things short, my highschool ecs consisted of sports, clubs, community service, internships. I became vp, treasurer, class directors of several clubs starting junior year, and i also became the leader of my intern group at my coding internship. I took around 9-10 AP/IB classes, and including honors around 15. I have a lot of awards based on my community service, internships, and clubs. Such clubs include FBLA, where i went to the state competition and competed in machine information. If you all need to, I can elaborate a lot more in the following comments. But to sum things up I would say my ecs are well above average and very good.
Conclusion: I think my gpa is my weak point, but since i am going for an uncapped major I am hoping I get accepted undeclared/data science major.
I think my SAT, Essay, and ECs are looking very good. Sure they’re not the best, but considering again I didn’t apply for a capped major, I think my chances are looking pretty good.
Please let me know how you all think! It is very reassuring to know what other people think so that I don’t base my hopes/chances on my own opinions, which can of course be biased. Thank you!
