UCSD Chance of being RESCINDED??

So I was accepted off the waitlist to UCSD and have signed up for orientation this September and various other enrollments requirements.

However, in my contract it states I need to maintain a 3.0+ Cum. GPA, and over a 2.0+ For the 2013 Spring Quarter. I fell extremely ill during my finals week and ended up BOMBING my calculus 2 final....resulting in my failure of the class(50% of my grade). Now I had an A, C, and F as my 3 class grades for the quarter. However the A is in a 4 unit class instead of 5 units so my GPA is calculated at a 1.85.....resulting in under the 2.0 requirement....If I had gotten just a D in that calculus class I would have been fine. But now I'm completely terrified as to whats going to happen...I'm going to call them on Monday and see what I can do about it...But I'd like to have anyone input on the matter.

Cumulative GPA:3.16 (Will be around a 3.03 after this quarter)
Quarter GPA: (A , C , F 1.85) a D grade instead of that F, would have boosted me over a 2.0+ for the quarter....

You failed a class and your GPA went under a 2.0 for the quarter… Things are not looking good for you.

So in other words, I’m 99% going to have my admissions revoked?

U might have a chance if you’re honest to the admissions office and tell the about your situation. Were you hospitalized? I think for the UC’s you’re supposed to report why you got a bad grade on the site. But like I said make sure you call the admissions office and tell them about your situation and why you got the ‘F’. When it was finals week did you call the Instructor and tell them what was going on? If not that was something that you should have done… Most instructors tell you that they will let you retake an exam at a later date if it’s for a valid reason, and since you were very ill, I don’t see why you would’ve had a hard time telling your professor and having them postpone it until you got better. But I really hope that your admissions doesn’t get rescinded! Good Luck!

Just make sure to contact/report your grades ASAP. The sooner you do it, the better chance of not getting rescinded. Good luck.
