I don’t think bouncers’s admit packet trick is legitimate as someone who didn’t even log in (me) had that message on the URL but I’m confident that the housing trick works. :)

I’m praying this housing trick works! I haven’t seen my application status yet, but I saw the housing trick “please check back later” thing! :)

So it’s the housing thing real or not? I got a bit lost in the discussion.

@Celang: It hasn’t NOT worked for anyone yet. :D

@Celang, It has not been shot down yet by people who were admitted or those who were not admitted.

On the Financial Aid status page it says:
We are pleased to present you with notification of your UC San Diego Regents Scholarship Award. The Regents Scholarship is the most prestigious scholarship awarded to undergraduate students at the University of California. Regents scholars are selected on the basis of academic excellence. We congratulate you on your academic achievement and look forward to assisting you at UC San Diego!

BTW, she did not apply for financial aid, so even if you did not apply for financial aid, check this tab.

housing trick says, “come back in late March…” in red color font…WHAT does that mean?? I got in???

@Korean101 well we’re only using a sample size of like 5 people, so while there is legitimacy in what you’re saying, I still can’t be 100% sure.
But yeah, I probably didn’t get in anyways, the second message is appearing (sob).

Thank you thank you.

anyone from the east coast able to log on?!!??!?!

No one is able to log on right now @mynameisruby

Seriously, can those that already know their status stop logging into the UCSD system to check on tricks – there are still some of us who can’t even login to check the admit decision. Just because it’s not the same URL, it is still the same system and could have an impact.

Here’s what it says for the housing application:

Housing Application

Housing Application for Fall 2014 - 2015

The housing application will become available in late-March. Please check back. If you would like to learn more about housing at UCSD, please use the links in the Housing menu above.

The message’s been updated; it said something about the information not being available when I last checked!

got admitpacket but not housing
im scared got waitlisted at davis

@PetraElise I’m not logging in anymore based on simply the housing trick thingy, the second red message is appearing (the one that housing is not available for me for my term), which basically means a rejection according to others on this board.

I’m not directing it at anyone in particular, it just keeps coming up, and it seems counter productive at this point. If you know your status, then just stay off the UCSD website until later, so that others can get their status a little sooner.

Try using your smartphone/tablet. Annnnnnd… had the new housing message and got accepted

I just tried to log back in through the myApplication www.myapplication.ucsd.edu and the server was down but then I used my browsing history to go to this url, "<a href=“Link Family”>Link Family; and it’ll let you log in!!

It’s the direct link to the housing page, so for those who can’t log in, Try it! I’m not sure if it’ll work. So, if this works- then you can probably use it to log in and even see the housing trick

so what does the admit packet mean? I got admit packet but my admissions page won’t load. Also, last I checked I got the housing page that said I can’t go through because of my application status or something, and I’m not sure how to get back to that page now so I can’t check again. So anyway, I’m having mixed results but is admit packet suppose to mean we’re in?

Still can’t get into the portal, but received a call on Tues 3/11.
