<p>@chai23913: no, the admit packing trick was proven to be BS but the housing trick hasn’t been disproven yet. You have the old message so that probably means that you were rejected. :/</p>
<p>OK I’m out. Like I mentioned, based on just the housing trick (which seems legit), I’m not in San Diego. Maybe I shouldn’t have applied to economics, even with a 4.08 UC GPA, 2200 SAT, strong ECs, and a decent personal statement. Congratulations on all the others that were accepted!</p>

<p>Hey guys, just an update on this whole “housing trick” thing.</p>
<p>I sent a link to my friend who originally had the message that implied that he got in. Today, he checked back on the same housing application page to see the message is now the red one that would confirm a rejection. Please don’t try to take this trick too seriously, it might as well really just be a glitch. </p>
<p>@ratherextreme Would you mind posting the one in red that he got? Because I have the one that would imply an acceptance and it is red as well</p>
