That could be a good sign tho! Maybe they will leave three hours to check it in case some people haven’t yet. Then at 3 (like yesterday), they will release a new batch of decisions.
@pleaseacceptme99 I just received one, I was admitted yesterday, it tells you your decision is on the portal, has a cute Vimeo video saying congrats and information on Triton Day
This process is the worst. Getting rejected this way is horrible. (Assuming I will get rejected)
I don’t think March 30th message means rejection
Yesterday’s rejection from Davis hit me like a bullet. I and all my friends were genuinely expecting for me to get Davis for so long, it was my #1. SD is my #2 and this waiting time is digging that bullet deeper into the wound. Your guys’ kind words and support is keeping me optimistic, thanks a lot guys. Let’s all stay positive and get through this together.

I heard last year ucsd made no admits from the waitlist, is that true?
@waitingforresults Thats not true. That means that no one from last year rejected UCSD

I find this process really cruel and unnecessary. At this point they know who’s accepted, waitlisted and rejected and they should just let people know. If Davis can do it so can they. This just puts undue stress on kids at a time when emotions are all over the place. These are public schools and they should be more transparent in communicating these decisions. Santa Cruz has had the date and even time that they will release decisions up on their website for weeks. It’s not rocket science and there are enough smart people at UCSD (including rocket scientists I’m sure…) that can figure out a better process.
Listen up kids. My D got in, we found out just now because we’ve been out all day at her softball game. Last time she checked last night, close to midnight, the portal was down ( she did several attempts earlier in the evening). So if you don’t see anything just yet, DON’T LOSE HOPE.
Psych major, Roosevelt College (her top choice), 1830 SAT, don’t know GPA but it would be high, IB candidate, excellent essays, excellent ECs, top-ranked public high school, OOS.

I sent an email also asking when the rest of us should here back. Although I doubt anyone will hear back until Monday. I wouldn’t expect anymore new decisions until after the portal becomes unavailable again like it did yesterday.
