@saules is that GPA her UC GPA? Or is it her school calculated GPA? If that’s her school calculated GPA, she has a good chance of admission, especially since she’s OOS. If that’s her UC GPA, then that might be too low for admission, but who really knows with UCSD.
@chubii I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but they discontinued the 8 year medical scholars program this year…

@gonewiththeair It is her school calculated GPA. But being out of state I’m not sure if USCD will recalculate the grade. They might give her extra points for AP classes and a college class she took at a community college during her junior year.
@saules UC’s recalculate gpa whether you’re instate or not, but they do give an extra point for AP courses for out of state

Hey, has anyone gotten login info for a UCSD portal? Berkeley and UCLA both emailed me a while back, but I haven’t heard from UCSD yet. Do they just not have one?

I haven’t gotten any emails about login info for any of the UCs (SD, Davis, Irvine) I’ve applied to. I’m assuming that it’ll come later, if at all.

I’m not an applicant, but just wanted to say that according to https://admissions.ucsd.edu/next/waiting.html, you should get an email mid-January about the online admissions portal when it opens. No need to worry about it until then.
