Guys what was the portal message before?
Did anyone’s phrasing change who has already been accepted?

Does everyone also have under the “Thank you…” message a section that says “Please review, confirm, and update your contact information below.” with links to current address, permanent address, and off-campus e-mail?

@knguyen1297 I’ve received acceptances from SLO and UCSB!! 
But…senioritis has pretty much taken over. Getting through classes is easy as most of my teachers are easygoing and we spend tons of class time doing nothing…but the waiting is the worst part. 
My portal didn’t change. I also didn’t receive any dinner invite. Last night, I emailed UCSD using the “black card” and this is what she said, “We will be releasing decisions via MyApplication.ucsd.edu very soon. And you’ll receive an admit packet in the mail. You’ll find out if you’re a Regents Scholar with your official admission decision. Hope this helps.” Not helpful at all! 
She could at least given me the release date.
@SD2020 What do you mean by “using the black card”? If you got the black card didnt it tell you you were accepted?
So your portal still says “We are thrilled you have applied…”?
@ruetherford Congrats on SLO and UCSB. I got chancellor’s invitation for SB too. So far I got accepted to UCR and CSULB, now waiting for UCI, UCLA, UCB, UCSD, and USC. March will be the death of me.
I can access the housing thing too. I went to my application, clicked the housing link for off campus housing. I then clicked on the UCSD students tab and logged in and it let me look at all the housing options. Is everyone able to do that?
Surprise! I also have an AP macro review packet due tomorrow…I might end up dying of stress before Friday. But hey, at least most of us will be getting spring break in a couple weeks and get a break to celebrate or not so much so.

@Andrew545 @ruetherford : Not at all. The VIP Tour, where they handed out the black card, only implied their strong interest. No guarantees of acceptance or Regents. However, I did receive a call more than week ago confirming my acceptance. I was going through some stuff and saw the black card and thought I might as well use it. The black card was supposedly a “direct line” to the UCSD admins.
@mdlego do you think it means anything because it’s allowing us to change our roommate status and other housing realated things?
@bruin2020 @mdlego I can as well. It does seem like it may be indicative of acceptance because it seems pretty detailed, but I wouldnt think too much about it unless others claim they are unable to access it.
It also seems weird that we can see lists of people that are searching for off canpus roommates and their contact information/photos. Its a bit strange that we haven’t been accepted yet but are able to view their ‘searching for a roommate’ page.
I am not able to do the housing thing. I don’t have a link for housing. Oh no. Is anyone not able to access housing either???
@Coloradogymnast4422 In your portal, did you go to the housing tab, which is next to admissions, academics, finances, and resources, then click Off-Campus Housing?
After you click off campus housing, you click UCSD Students, then you should be able to log in with the same way you accessed your portal. You will be able to see “UCSD Off-Campus Housing Directory” with all different options.
@Andrew545 that’s what I thought too! The housing portal seems really detailed for just an applicant to view. I’m OOS and not a minority so I wasn’t accepting a call. Are you OOS too?

@bruin2020 @Andrew545 yeah… pretty surprising considering that even though we haven’t been officially admitted yet, we are able to see all UCSD roommates who are also looking for roommates under “Search Available Roommates” tab with their PERSONAL INFORMATION. (Some even have pictures!!)
my housing thing shows up as well “looking for a roomate” . I have not received anything from ucsd other than a application confirmation :((
