Hey guys so by when can we expect a decision? Very nervous
Last year’s decisions were released March 13 so expect Mid-March.
So nervous, UCSD is one of my top choices! I check on CC forums to kill time and lessen my anxiety for March to come LOL.
@vi0linmonster i’m the same way!! I have the threads for all the colleges i’m applying to bookmarked, but this is the only college i really want to go to!!
Its pretty expensive though, so even if i am lucky enough to be accepted i don’t know if i will attend 
@Coloradogymnast4422 don’t forget to apply for LOTS of scholarships! Those can go a long way!
Also did anyone get anything in the mail from UCSD? I just got a letter telling me that they got my application and a booklet. I’m hoping this is a good sign? Unless they send it out to everyone?

Yeah that might be it. It’d definitely take a bit longer to get there
Is UCSD still doing the calling campaign this year?
Apparently its a tradition, but its only for minority groups

Why is the UCSD forum so dead? lol It seems like no one really posts in the UC forums except UCB or UCLA. I really like looking on these and discuss college stuff with my fellow college obsessed buddies
@vi0linmonster I don’t know. Most people probably just lurk and don’t say anything in the thread. And I know UCB had that letter of rec thing going on so that adds to that thread

@mierdil I’m a NorCal resident. But I did not get a UCSD packet. I got an email acknowledgment of recieving my app and log in instructions.
I didn’t get a UCSD packet either, and I’m in San Diego. They just sent me an email acknowledging my application, nothing else.
And yes, UCSD will be doing the calling thing this year but it’s only for first gen students and Regents recipients I think.
What was in the packet?
Did anyone else get the questionnaire, I’ve been looking around on college confidential and see that most people who got it and did it got in eventually, so I’m definitely going to do it well
@scoobysnacks56 I haven’t received one! If you don’t mind me asking, what are your stats/preferred major? Does it have anything to do with that? xx
I don’t think that getting the questionnaire means that you will be admitted, but I think it is a way for the university to find out more about you.
And I found that many people who got the UCLA supplement in previous years didn’t make it into UCLA (http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-california-los-angeles/1616746-ucla-class-of-2018-supplemental-questionnaire-applicants-updates-information-decisions-p8.html). But that said, getting the supplement is still a posative thing but it does not indicate your admission status in any way.
