@ruetherford I’m referring to the inspect element thing that people were mentioning earlier with the HTML code. If you right click and click inspect and then proceed to searching the elements for “accept” that was what showed up
Yeah what page is this? Because I searched in the page with contact info & test scores and got nothing for accept, reject or waitlist…
@itsmyusername Did you do a Command-F Search or an “Inspect” Search. Only inspect search would be applicable in this scenario
@t19305 Thanks, thought people were somehow finding it in view source only.
@jackisawesome Through inspect. I also did view source and skimmed through it, but still nothing.
i did the inspect thing and i got something for accept but not waitlist or denied
when i searched accepted:
- which contains the letter to the applicant who has been accepted
.
My UC gpa isn’t a 4.0+ I think it was 3.71 according to a calculator I used. My high school GPA is over a 4.0 though, if that matters. They didn’t ask for it on the application so I’m not sure how they calculate it. And I chose bio as my major, very impacted in both schools… But one of my essays emphasized my passion for studying human health and it wasn’t cliche. Maybe I’ll get lucky? There are stories of students with low stats but exceptional backgrounds who get accepted. My hope comes from those stories lol. @Andrew545
i got that too! @crossovercuber idk if it actually means anything though. i doubt i got into ucsd with my stats LOL
@t19305 is there anything for you in rejected
I got one thing for accepted, nothing for Waitlist, and a very long thing for rejected oh well.
Pretty sure the “letter” thing is just a source for UCSB to use. Can anyone make sense of the active-cherry base-min.js? In this, I have 8 results for “accept”, 4 for"reject," and 2 for “rejected.” Anyone getting the same numbers? reject and rejected were two different searches.
The line of code that you guys are getting when you search for accept doesn’t indicate that you have been accepted, it is just comments that a programmer writes in their code that allows other people who are looking at the code to understand what the lines of code below the comment is doing which is useful incase someone ever needed to make changes to the code because that person will be able to find what he/she needs to change easier.(wow I just used the word code a lot in that sentence)
have you guys tried this for UCI in the message center? when i searched “wait” I got “Waitlist admit text box” and “#waitlist_admit”
I get absolutely nothing when I search for the three key words.
@Wesk9797 Yeah, the students.ucsd.edu tab definitely doesn’t mean anything. Do you have any idea what the active-cherry folder under ucsd.edu means? It’s more complex and not something I’ve seen before.
@dankdylan Using inspect element? View page source will give you nothing.
@seemoore as a UCI CHP admit, i get nothing when i typed the three words in
@ruetherford I inspect element and search it, am I supposed to do something else?
