UCSD is one of my top two schools so I’m really anxious to hear back. I just wanted to know if any of you could tell me my chances of getting in…
My GPA is a 4.7/5 (my school does it on a 5 scale) and SAT Score is 1950.
I have a rigorous schedule of classes (all honors for all 4 years) and have taken 5 APs, including AP Chem and AP Calc BC.
Captain of varsity team, 4 year varsity athlete, lots of community service (including 3 mission trips, one being Habitat for Humanity), and lots of extracurriculars.
My application & essays were pretty good.
I applied to major in Bioengineering, and I know that it is definitely one of the most competitive majors at UCSD, so I’m nervous that I won’t get into it. My backup major is Environmental Science, and I’m trying to see if I can change it to Biochemistry.
If any of you has any more information than I have of my chances of getting in that would be very appreciated!!
Yeah, I think I must have been looking at last year. Friday seems likely.
@bascombadger123 i think your stats are great!! I’m interested in bioengineering too, though i think i’ll study that in grad school and do chem engineering for undergrad. Both my major and alternate major are impacted so i’m a little worried about not getting in!
@gonewiththeair Warren’s my first choice I really liked their required ethics and society courses.
Has anyone heard back from other colleges? I haven’t yet and it’s so depressing omg haha
I got into Cal Poly SLO last week but I haven’t heard anything back from the other 8 colleges I applied to. It’s nice knowing I have somewhere to go which definitely takes the pressure off of waiting but UCSD is one of my top choices so it’s still very nerve-wracking!
As Aaron Rodgers once said RELAX. After all you got Cal Poly in your back pocket
