Hey everyone! I got a call yesterday at 6:16 pm saying I got into UCSD! I’ve just been ghosting this forum, but I finally created an account since I know some of you guys wanted more info on those who were called.

UC GPA: 4.22
SAT: 1420
ACT: 33
Major: Sociology with an emphasis in Science and Medicine
Good amount of ECs and leadership but not too many outstanding ones.
I also got into UCI CPH for biological sciences
I live in the bay area. Last name initial: C
Two of my classmates were also called 1-2 hours after me. I know their stats are a little bit lower and their last names are F and P.

I also thought there were two phone calls coming out: faculty (which was last week??) and alumni. But I think I only got the alumni since I heard they would be talking about triton day and the overnight. Soo I’m confused about the whole callig campaign. I don’t know who were called by faculty and if that might mean something…

But yeah I wanted to congratulate those that were also accepted and want to let those who weren’t as of right now to not stress over it too much! You will probably be accepted in the end! Good luck!

Also I forgot to mention for those who are worrying about not getting any correspondence from UCSD after the thank you for applying, I never got any invitations for tours, promotional brochures after soo yeah.

just to update, I was called at 6:19pm on 3/7/17 with last name X as an undeclared major

Hey @pristinechris. The Bay Area reception is scheduled for Saturday, May 25 from 10 am - 12 pm in Berkeley.

Just to give you all a heads up, last year my son did not get a call, did not get an invite to a regents event and never even got an email to check the portal, and he got in. He found out acceptances were out by seeing someone’s fb post that they had been admitted so he went to check his portal and he had been admitted :slight_smile: So, do not worry if you are not getting any early notifications.

@pristinechris I haven’t got a call yet :frowning: just wanted to find out if sd had started calling students from LA yet, and it was confirmed by @asc12199.

Are the calls by order of last name? I’m in Bay area and someone said their friend with last initial P got called and my last initial is before P, so am I just waiting for Friday release?

Maybe the calls are by major or school? Though they seem all over the place…
