UCSD Class of 2021 Discussion/Decisions

I’m just hoping to get in and this wait is kiiilllinngggg me!

do you guys think ill get into aerospace engineering? im so worried about tmrw
uc gpa: 4.22
SAT: 2150, 760 M, 670 CR, 720 W

Wishing you all the best tomorrow! We all could use a little extra luck - although, some of you seem MORE than qualified. :slight_smile:

@sike4123 Your stats are higher than mine (which are 4.2 UC GPA/1470 new sat, equal to 2100-2110 old SAT), and I got a phone call (albeit I applied for bio but it is also capped). I think you have a really good shot! :slight_smile:

Thanks for the answers! Just curious – has anyone who ever got a UCSD email through the “housing trick” ever been rejected?

A few weeks ago when people were talking about the housing trick, I didn’t have an email, but now I do when I rechecked the site. I’m hoping…

Any calls yet today?

I am very anxious about getting accepted. Most of my friends received calls regarding admissions this week. I am really hoping the decisions for UCSD come out tomorrow along with UCLA decisions next Friday.

Received a call today around 6 (maybe they were just calling again because they had called yesterday and I didn’t answer).
UC GPA is 4.0

I got a call and was invited but don’t have an email. i tried calling to inquire when the emails would be out and the only conclusion i came to was that they “should be out soon.” Ugh the deadline is march 15th tho so it doesn’t make sense to not email them right away

@kaiberrypie deadline for what?

@Cocohorse a couple people on Reddit had no email but were accepted via phone call

@kaiberrypie are you talking about a deadline for transfer applicants or…?

What time are decisions usually released?

@pleasgod about 3:00 pm

I got the call yesterday, but didn’t pick up!! :frowning:
Will they call back? I tried calling them back, but no response.
If you got a call, does it mean you also got regents? Or just accepted?

:slight_smile:

@gymnast4life123 chill

maybe it’s just me but seems like the number of calls (at least judging by the people who post on CC) has been steadily decreasing since tuesday…

@RetainerBaby Typically they try to call you back later. Getting a phone call could mean that you got regents,but could also mean you were just accepted. A lot of phone call recipients get Regents, but some get it without a phone call and some people get a phone call but do not get in with Regents (especially since some calls go out to historically disadvantaged students, e.g. first-gen or racial minorities). Either way, congrats!! :slight_smile:

I received an email three days ago inviting me to the Inland Empire Reception but no phone call. Anyone else experience this? Does this mean I got accepted or can it also mean I got waitlisted?
