@bubblyj A few people on that thread said they had gotten regents at a different school but got rejected from Davis. Honestly, this process is so random, so you are definitely in the running still! You have good stats. You could have been rejected for being “overqualified” too. It happens sometimes. 
@bubblyj I think you have a pretty good chance to get accepted to UCSD. It’s Davis’ loss!

omg guys, if you got invited to the reception in your area, you were also accepted into UCSD!! They sent mailed letters!!!
The guy did hesitate when I asked so maybe he told me when he wasn’t supposed to? After all, everyone else at UCSD is being really weird/mysterious about it.
I think the guy wasn’t supposed to tell you that and maybe his supervisor had a word with him. Wow. We have some inside info now.
