Reasons why you may not have an ACMS ( email account ) at this time
New undergraduates prior to orientation:
Student e-mail accounts for new undergraduate students are assigned by Academic Computing & Media Services. This process occurs after the Statement of Intent to Register (SIR) deadline has been reached for your starting quarter (early May for Fall quarter), and before orientation. If you are a new undergraduate student, your account should be ready when you receive information from your college about new student orientation. Please check back at that time. NOTE: if you accepted admission to UCSD after the original SIR deadline, or are a late transfer to UCSD, your account may not have been automatically activated in the first batch. Your account will be created in a subsequent batch - check back a few days after your SIR has been processed. If you still don't have an account, AND you are enrolled (not just accepted) for the upcoming term, you can activate your account yourself using the ACSREG Tool.
Incoming students:
You may have received an online notice or a letter indicating that your ACS account and UCSD email address are available for use - Accounts are currently set up at the end of the acceptance period for your starting quarter, and your account may not be available prior to that time. Contact your College directly if you need early information on Orientation or other official communications with UCSD prior to receiving an ACS account and official UCSD email address.
