I notice that @WiltChamberlain posted stats as a Korean male in one forum and a Latina female in another forum (#649 in UCLA thread vs. #1431 here) and also similar-looking stories under other usernames. Please don’t do that. The process is stressful and random enough for students without seeing fake-inflated stats claiming to be rejected, and it’s evident that some people take you seriously. Kids will be reading this thread next year too.

@krao01 Thank you! I was worried that I might accidentally decline my offer.
@Runningpanda18 I called the number and they didn’t answer, probably because it’s a Saturday.
I feel bad for those who wanted to major in CS or Engineer but got in as Undeclared. It’s basically telling them to go to another school if you want to major in the area of your interest.

Anyone know the chances of getting a college change?

@Versalia: Regarding changing colleges. Possible but do not count on it.
From previous year post:
It’s POSSIBLE to switch colleges after you have completed their writing course, if you can show that it will let you graduate faster, and if there is somebody to switch with you. That being said you most likely wouldn’t be able to switch until after your first year and you also most likely won’t want to switch anymore at that point. But it’s possible.
@Gumbymom I’m hoping to switch and if I can’t I don’t think I’ll attend. Somehow I accidently placed ERC 2nd and sixth last while I meant to do sixth second and ERC last…I just don’t think ERC is for me.
Thank you!
@Versalia Yea, @Gumbymom is right (as always!). In the UCSD portal, in the FAQs, they’d written that a college change wasn’t really possible.
@Gumbymom If you don’t mind me asking, are/were you a student or someone working at UC or a parent? You know a lot about the UCs and your posts are invaluable!
@InfiniteLibrary I emailed them just in case. Better than doing nothing.
