I saw somewhere on this thread that someone had been waitlisted into Computer Engineering, but I don’t understand how that is possible since Computer Engineering is a capped major and I would assume that if they were to waitlist you to the school, you would be waitlisted into your second choice?
@os2017 I totally feel you. I applied to Human Bio with a 4.2 UC GPA and a 33 on the ACT and was also waitlisted, if that makes you feel any better. 
It doesn’t make sense.

@jollybollyyy What did the email say? I was accepted to UCSD but haven’t received an email.
@voltthorn it says congrats and that my admissions starts in the fall of 2017. Did you receive a phone call or a letter ?
@jollybollyyy Nope, I just checked my portal yesterday and it said I had gotten into Warren.
@Momofsenior2017 It remains to be seen for DS2 - UCSD or UCB or UCLA or other. DS1 chose UCSD over UCB - he had similar scores if slightly lower GPA but way more college credits from local CC. He pondered long and hard but getting into his CS major from the get-go, plus honors status and other stuff had him choose UCSD. And it’s been great! He’s had a great experience and it’s led to impressive internships and will intern at a top 5 company this summer. I’d be totally happy for DS2 to go to UCSD. So much incredible bio research going on there and he’d have his major. Not to mention being with his bro. I’d encourage everyone to really look at the fit and their goals over going to the most competitive place that would have you. UC* is an abundance of opportunities.
The only email I got (this morning) was one telling me to check my portal.

We got an email with an invitation to rsvp to a reception on April 7th. Is that standard?
@LoriLaner I haven’t figure out how to reverse it so I’m just going to leave it be. I was also thinking that it might default if it’s left alone. I’m afraid that if I try to fix it I might decline my offer so I’m not going to click on anything else.

Nope, not there in spam. The only thing in my spam is an email from Illinois Tech about Quidditch.
@InfiniteLibrary Hmm maybe you’ll get it later. There wasn’t anything important in the email - it was just telling me that my admissions decision is available and that I should check the portal, which I already knew from being on CC!
