@ManyXsBlessed As soon as you log in and see your acceptance page, scroll down and click next. Then click “my financial aid estimate” and then “continue to awards”. You should now see all your gift aid and FAFSA info.
@roselysunset How can you have an unweighted gpa above 4.0??
And what do you mean “born in civil war”? I’m just curious.
@JuicyMango some states have different GPA systems. For example, Texas’s GPA is out of 7.
However that person didn’t reference their state, and I don’t know of any states unweighted out of 5, so I assume that’s a typo
Accepted
Environmental Systems: Earth Science
Thurgood Marshall College
Weighted GPA: about 4.5-4.6
UW GPA: 4.0
ACT: 30
Accepted (applying from Sweden; Serbian/Slovenian national)
Electrical Engineering
Sixth
IB Diploma (HL’s are Math, Physics, and Economics with predicted 6/7/7)
SAT I: 1440 (660 Language, 780 Math)
TOEFL iBT: 115/120
SAT II: Math 2 800, Physics 780
EC: I don’t really know how exceptional they are. The group which I led won at the European Space Agency’s CanSat competition, I’ve volunteered at refugee centres and was then asked by the Minister of Migration’s cabinet to continue as I’ve “improved the situation so much”, triathlete with a few triathlons behind me (doing the Ironman this summer), countless hours of academic as well as music (guitar) tutoring, led the project of building a scaled model of the asteroid 4 Vesta which would be an addition to the already certified Guinness WR “Largest scaled solar system model in the world”, and some other things which I honestly forgot haha.
Accepted to: UK (Cambridge, University College London, King’s College London), US (UC Davis, UCSD), Sweden (KTH)
Waiting for decisions from: UC Berkeley, UCLA, MIT, Stanford, Harvard, Princeton, Yale, UPenn
Fully aware how unlikely the Ivy’s and MIT/Stanford are but I would’ve lived with grief had I not at least applied
Edit: Essays were more or less copies of those that got me the offer from Cambridge so I guess they were good haha also, I’m a heterosexual, cis, upper middle class, tall, rather popular, white male or in Californian words, the worst kind
@JuicyMango ;@roselysunset Same here. Pardon my ignorance, I am curious as to what civil war it is.

Essays were quite convincing I assume since I more or less copied what I wrote for the UK application. Also, I’m a heterosexual, cis, upper middle class, tall, rather popular, confident white male, or in Californian words, the worst kind

Just wondering, the Financial Award Page says it’s “Estimated”? So could I actually be getting a lot less than what is currently written?
Also will they every send us an official award letter before 5/1?
I think one of the posters being discussed is not for real.
If I was accepted for “Computer Science”, is that the CSE one or the mathematics one?

The UC app doesn’t have teacher, counselor or additional recommendations, does it?
@VickiSoCal: Only UCB asks for LOR’s but that is not part of the UC application, so no to your question.
I was starting to worry we missed something!
This is kind of off topic but , I’ve been hearing a lot of negative things about this ERC, but it’s from science majors who feel like it’s a waste to their major. However , I am passionate about history and I’m majoring in international relations and politics science. How do you think it would be for someone with my interests? Do you think it will be easier or at least less of a burden ?
Can I change the college I have been accepted into? I got accepted in my first choice but I am having second thoughts now.
@Bulldog9 nope, not without a lot of difficulty anyways. Forgot where I saw this on UCSD website but I think you have to find someone willing to switch with you and prove that switching would help you graduate faster
