No, apparently it goes off every day at midnight. I thought the same before.
Idk about this whole June 2 thing it kind of sounds ridiculous. I don’t understand why they would accept transfers (for most likely junior year) before incoming freshman on the waitlist. I mean on the portal itself says no later than June 1
@whyyyyyyyyyyyyyy the transfers are already accepted. Freshmen had to SIR to schools by May first and transfer have to SIR before June first. It’s regarding the regular transfers and not waitlist transfers
If anyone calls and gets told that they won’t be accepting in state freshman off the waitlist until june 2nd, ask them to tell admissions officers to update to the correct information… It literally says between may 1st and june 1st.
I called the admissions office and they said that it is not true that in-state students will know after June 1st. The lady I talked to said to expect late May, before June 2nd.
I got accepted off the waitlist a few days ago, but I can not afford the school so I’m declining my offer. Hopefully that will help one of you guys get it!
Are you in state? @thescreennames
I hate to be that guy but please read the title of this forum: it’s for freshmen specifically. PLEASE make sure you’re talking about freshman dates and if not, at least specify which type of applicant you’re referring to.
@valester we are talking about freshman dates but the phone operators at ucsd are telling some of us that freshman will hear back after june 1st (after the transfer decision deadline) because they want to see how many transfers enroll before they know how many freshman to accept which literally makes zero sense to me.
when are decisions coming out. they said mid may. and I’m sitting here with no decision
UC Slow Decision
Hopefully they will release decisions before Fall quarter starts!
got off the waitlist last wednesday as an Out of state student!
This college decision process has dragged on too long. I was originally rejected from UCI and waitlisted at UCSD so I had committed to UC Riverside. I refused to lose hope though so I sent UCI a letter of appeal and then was accepted. I was then committed to UCI, and less than 2 weeks later I heard back that I accepted to UCSD. I declined my acceptance from UCI after committing, and then committed to UCSD. I’m excited to attend ucsd this fall!
Third time is the charm (said very sarcastically)
I got into Marshall college at UCSD as my preferred major (psych)
GPA: 4.03 weighted
ACT: 25 (Trust me I have NO clue how I got accepted with that score)
I was very involved and my essays were pretty good. There was also huge progression with grades in high school ( went from a 3.5 weighted to a 4.7 from soph. year to junior).
I wish you guys all the best of luck!
have any in states heard back?
nope
I got in OOS on friday; best of luck everybody!
so it seems as though they just admit as they please. there is no “WaveS””
do you guys agree?
Ughhhhh all I know is that we are only half way through May… I feel like they’ll make ale us wait until May 31st and then send out all the rejections. This whole process is really horrible. Ucsd admissions is the worst as far as… well… everything. UC Davis was like my BFF throughout the entire process lol.
Did the people who got accepted get an email?
