Just got waitlisted to Davis and not feeling too good about other UCs
I thought my stats were very competitive for mid tier UC like Davis
4.1 UC GPA
32 ACT (33E 31M 35R 27S)
Over 200 hours of volunteer hours
Three varsity sports
I felt really good about my essays (solid 8.5/10)
Instate and applied for economics
Do I have any chance at the other UCs (specifically B, LA, SD, and SB)?
Rejected at Davis with UC GPA 4.0 200 hours volunteer and varsity football etc.
scarred to head from UCI UCSD UC Santa Cruz
I saw a CC post from 2009 that said UCSD released their decisions on Saturday once.
Also, according to ms. sun, if you do not receive a call during the Early Calling Campaign, you may receive a call later, after admission decisions are released, from current UCSD students to invite you to Triton Day and campus overnight programs, or later still from UCSD alumni to share their Triton experiences.
So just because the calling campaign starts on March 19, doesn’t mean that admissions won’t be released on March 16 or before. It could be possible the UCSD alumni will call accepted students to invite them to Triton Day, overnight programs, or to share Triton experiences with the minority.
If u go on UCSD cc 2014 (class of 2018) they released on march 10 and it was Saturday in 2014
Even in 2015 I saw ppl posting march 10 which was a Tuesday. Edit last post: 2014 march 10 Monday not Saturday
@party123 Do you know what time they released it on Saturday?
Idk about Saturday. But for the years it was Monday and Tuesday ppl started posting at evening like I think I saw one post at 7ish
March 10 seems to be the date for the past few years regardless of what day of the week it is. Hopefully it’s the same this year
Fingers crossed!!
I feel like it’ll either be today or Monday, but also I’ve noticed that the UC’s decisions come out based on their acceptance rate, from highest to lowest, so maybe it’ll come out after UCSC?
And also, if they do come out today, they should come out by around 3:30PM PST because that’s when Davis came out, right?
@cutiepie679 I don’t think the times have to match. It just comes out when the school decides for it to come out.
@cutiepie679 if decisions came out based on acceptance rate it would have gone merced > riverside > santa cruz > davis, but davis has already come out before santa cruz.
uh march 10th was a Monday in 2014
It was a Tuesday in 2015 and they came out then. I don’t think it matters about the day of the week.
Yeah but it probably matters if it’s a weekday or not
we’ll see in a few minutes
I am too! Does anyone know when UCSD is releasing decisions? I really hope I get in … fingers crossed! Good luck to all of you as well!
If they do post the decisons today, what will be the latest time to do so?
I’ve heard ppl getting in late afternoon or even 7 pm
