I’ve recently been accepted into the Microbiology program at the Roosevelt College UCSD. However even when I had to rank the colleges, when applying, I did not understand what each college was known for, or why we had to rank them. How would being selected into a particular college at UCSD affect my major? What is different about each of the colleges within UCSD? Is being selected into the Roosevelt college good?
The main differences between the colleges are the GE requirements, location on campus and dining options.
Look at the GE requirements and your major requirements.

Select Roosevelt, department Biology and major Microbiology to get a 4 year plan
Also look at the chart for AP credit towards some of the GE’s.
