UCSD CSE admission rejected a 4.0

Hello,
I am an incoming transfer student at UCSD, and I was admitted into the Math/cs major, which is part of the Math department, (not complaining about that) instead of my intended major of Computer Science. I’m just wondering what you’re guys stats who got into UCSD for CSE.
Here are mine:
GPA : 4.0
EC: President of the Computer Science Club, Math tutor, Honor student, participated and placed in multiple Hackathons, Eagle scout, FLL robotics league volunteer coach, and World invitational math competition placer.

I took the equivalents of CSE 8a/8b and CSE 12 before transferring, and finished IGETC. Just really confused why I didn’t get into the major I really wanted.

OH forgot…
I’m an Asian American. Just disspointed that the school system treats students who haven’t gotten single B in their life like this. People who were work the backside off aren’t given consideration.

UCSD CSE is highly competitive:

Was your 4.0 unweighted or UC capped?

OP says that s/he is a transfer student with a 4.0 college GPA.

oops, missed that. Sorry
