Do all acceptances come out on one day, or spread out over a period of time?

Yeah just thought I’d throw that out there for Ramga.

also, I got into my 3rd-choice college. Jeez. :/

YES! I got accepted!!!

Marshall :)

But I forgot what my first choice was! But I know Marshall was either my 1st or 2nd.

Is there a place I can see my original application/college choice?

3.7 gpa economics major, haven’t heard.

I think if you go on the UC main site and click on where you first started your application, it shows you. “I want to apply.” It’s basically like a receipt, I think. I’ve seen mine.

alice, log into your pathways account- the same website you used to apply to UCs. A confirmation page will pop up and you’ll see your choices.

3.46, English Literature major, TAG-certified. Marshall college. I think I’ve forgotten what most of the colleges were, haha. Oh well, if I go, I’m sure it’ll be fun times all around.

Funny, the first time I visited, it didn’t say anything. Then I logged out, logged back in, and I had the acceptance letter as my front page. Weird.

4.0 econ major, did TAG, have not yet heard back yet.

Makes me nervous. Anyone in the same boat?

i definitely don’t have a 4.0 but i havn’t heard back either, neither has my gf who has a 3.9.

I am nervous, too. I really want to know by this evening, otherwise I’ll be checking forever, haha.

i’m going to a concert at the el rey theater tonight. depending on my admission status, i’ll either be a really happy drunk, or a really grouchy one.

History Major

3.85 GPA

That user UCD Admissions said in another thread that admissions are released day-by-day not hour-by-hour? Suggested to check either in the morning or evening and to chill out. I dunno, that might just apply to UCD.

On behalf of the faculty, staff, and students of the University of California, San Diego – congratulations on your admission to Muir College as a major in Pre-Math-Computer Science! UC San Diego is one of the nation’s premier universities and we look forward to welcoming you to our campus.

I got in today too! 3.7 Economics… from CC in bay area
It’s my understanding that applicants with strongest stats will be admitted earlier. My uncle works as an admissions officer at SC. He said that colleges naturally want to extend admission offers to students they really want as early as possible so that the students will hopefully SIR to the college. I also think that they put applicants into three or four piles from the strongest applicants in one pile to the weakest in the last pile and they release admissions to the ones in the first pile first…

Anyway congrats to those who were admitted!

by looking at these stats, ucsd’s yield might be fairly low since these people have very good chances at cal and ucla.

Star, I don’t think that theory holds out for all. I have a 3.83 GPA and I applied for Math/Econ. JetForce had the exact same stats yet I have not received my decision yet. It’s just a bit random, I’m sure I, as well as my others, will get the decision within the next few days, if not hours. Other than that…

I wonder how SD determines who gets placed into which college. Odd how some with 3.8s+ didn’t get their first pick.

EDIT: There seem to be other students with even 4.0s that haven’t heard back. Clearly it’s all random. I suggest those who haven’t received their decision yet to sit tight, and try not to check the applicantlink every ten seconds.

I’ll add that Muir was my first pick.

On behalf of the faculty, staff, and students of the University of California, San Diego – congratulations on your admission to Sixth College as a major in Environmental Engineering! UC San Diego is one of the nation’s premier universities and we look forward to welcoming you to our campus.
