very late response, i was just browsing through the post.

to minty331: you say you've done everything required and more...do you have a lot of units? One of my very well-rounded classmates got accepted to UCB/LA/D but not SD, as either Bio or Chem, don't remember. She called to ask why and they told her it was because she had too many units (80-90+ i think).

I got my acceptance letter to UCSD last Saturday in the mail! I didn't even think of checking admission decisions online, but it was more exciting and worthwhile to open up the actual envelope!
Anyways, I got into Thurgood Marshall for Economics.

GPA: 3.9 (one B in English. I'm human)
IGETC: Done in 3 semesters
Awards/ECs/Academic Prep: None whatsoever, no lie. Left it all blank! Except for work experience.
Units: 56 total, plus more from AP scores.

I'm so relievedddddd and glad to be out of CCC after just 2 years. I'm guessing I got in because of my GPA?

Wooo!!! Got in, Thurgood Marshall for poli-sci!! my excitement was short lived though, it just makes me want to know about UCLA that much more :(
