UCSD - Do I have to live in The Village?

Hi,

I was thinking of transferring to UCSD and was choosing the colleges.

However, will I be living on one of the college's apartment/dorms or will I have to go to "The Village"?

Also, can I choose a single room or do I have to go in a double or triple?

Thanks!

The Village are buildings with apartments, not dorms.
Transfers have the option of either The Village or off campus housing. At The Village, you have your options of either a single or a double in either two bedroom apartments or a suite-like setting although singles are in higher demand by students. Check out the Village website.

Currently there’s still construction going on at The Village at Torrey Pines East. Most transfers and other continuing students live at The Village at Torrey Pines West.

Thanks for the response!

So, I can’t go to a college room?
Does that mean it doesn’t matter which order I rank the 6 colleges in?

Also, if I want a single dorm room is there a chance I won’t get it? Can good transfer grades from a CCC help?

Transfers are able to dorm with freshman/sophomore if they are young. I know a 1-year transfer who did it.

Options range from singles, doubles, and triples. I think Warren dorms are only singles and triples.

However, priority is giving to freshman and sophomores. There still is a chance to get the other dorms, it’s not completely impossible.

Okay thanks for the information!
