when selecting UCSD as a campus, you have to rank the colleges in order of preference.

i've kinda narrowed it down (but still open to opinions) to sixth college and earl warren. i am kind of interested in engineering, but theres a good possibility that i'll change majors down the road. the only thing that draws me towards sixth college is that ive heard it is very homely and sociable, which sounds good to me.

any suggestions?

I would suggest looking at the philosophies of the six different colleges more than the dorms. The colleges have different graduation requirements (some require more years of math or science than others, depending on what you think you might be doing in the future). However, if you're going to consider the dorms, I like Warren (sis used to live in the dorms, I spent weekends down there once every 6-8 weeks). Sixth is nice too. Also keep in mind that you're not limited to classes with just Warren students - writing classes and other requirements common to all 6 colleges mix in students from the different dorms.

Just something to think about when you're applying.

I've heard that Warren tends to attract a lot more engineering students but there are definitely students of other majors there. I know a friend in ERC who is a bioengineer major so it doesn't really matter the major. Try to see the GRs and the feel of each school.

By the way, Warren apparently also has nocturnal bunnies! But, they are a bit isolated from the rest of the schools. I've also heard a rumor that Sixth has log cabins (not sure if this is true though)
