UCSD Econ Major concerns-no jobs, no social aspect?

Hi everyone! I am an incoming freshman to UCSD (class of 2022) as an Econ major. I read on reddit that econ/business majors have a hard time finding a job, and that big companies don’t come to UCSD to recruit. My top choices were UCLA and USC, and now I feel like UCSD will not be a right fit. I’m an introvert and I know in the right environment I can branch out and become successful, but UCSD just seems like the wrong choice (even though it’s the “best” school I got into). Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!

Btw I also got into SDSU, USD (with scholarship), Chapman (with scholarship)

It kind of depends on what you want to do. For Econ research, UCSD is really well regarded, which could help if you want a masters in Econ. But it’s not a target recruiting school for the Big 4, for example. I think it’ll be a close one between UCSD and SDSU for you; I suggest you get a feel for both campuses, see what programs at each school you’ll actually take advantage of, debate the UC vs. CSU value, then make your decision.
