I have been waitlisted at UCLA so if I am accepted there, I’m attending UCLA for sure. However, which of these two schools is better? Economics-Math joint major at UCSD or Business Administration (focus in finance/quantitative econ) at Cal Poly for future employers in the finance industry?
UCSD typically has more rigor and a higher caliber of students. Cal Poly does well in engineering, but I don’t know if it would be looked upon as favorably as the better UC campuses, which have been widely respected for superior academics for decades, if not more.
where did you end up choosing? I was in the same position
@rejectionssuck UCLA!
Cal Poly is good if you want to go into a STEM field or engineering, but honestly UCSD is very good for what you want to do. So I would lean towards UCSD.
