UCSD Engineering Question

Hi. I'm currently in the applications process for the UCs...but I don't know what major I want. For the 6 schools I'm applying to I think I'm going to go Undeclared Physical Science as my first choice major...but for my alternate I want to choose an engineering major...I'm contemplating over ChemEng and CivilEng, which one is easier to get into? Thanks!

well, ucsd doesn't exactly have a civE major...there is, however, structural engineering. admissions to both are comparable.

:)

For UC, engineering majors are more impacted than non-engineering majors, so putting an engineering major as the alternate choice won't help much in terms of admission. The harsh truth is that if you don't get into Physics, you probably won't get into Engineering either.
