@sbrapunzel you have to check you financial aid estimate and under scholarships or “gift aid” it should say regents scholarship.

My boyfriend has a 3.6 GPA and applied for Mechanical Engineering he is a transfer from ccc and has lots of EC’S while working for the state as a student engineering assistant.
he completed all of our pre requs and his personal statement was really good! Do you think he has a good chance of being accepted at UCSD? we are trying to attend the same school!
@TransferJ did you sign the U-link contract or did you apply without it?
@bren22baca My ccc did not offer U-link so I applied without it!
I’ve creeped on a lot of the freshmen threads and saw that they have made groupme’s for each specific UC, would any transfers be down to do that as well? It’d be a cool way to communicate and connect.
@TransferJ I think your bf has a good chance at UCSD from what I’ve seen in old transfer threads. Decisions are slowly creeping up! I’m getting eager too
Can anyone access https://act.ucsd.edu/webreg2/start ? When I select a term, I get an alert saying I have not been admitted yet. Just curious if this can be a new ‘trick.’
I get the same not admitted message but I’ve already been accepted. I don’t think it’s relevant.
It’s probably because I haven’t done orientation, etc.
I was accepted 3/12/16, GPA: 3.95
I did not receive the regents scholarship, so not all people who were admitted in the first batch received regents 
I had the same GPA and I thought it was a merit-based scholarship so I’m kinda confused about why I didn’t get it. Is 3.95 still not high enough?
I am also among the people who got accepted and I have a 4.0 GPA with a lot of other activities but didn’t get the regents scholarship. I do not think money is an issue as it is merit based only. I only wonder if they give it to those who are not eligible for pell grant or cal grant.
I wasn’t eligible for those grants either.
The only financial aid I’m getting is $1700 in work-study.
I have a 3.96 and received cal grant, fafsa, as well as regents. I am not sure on the selection basis of it, but i do have a ton of extra curricular.
Is anyone able to see the full amount of financial aid they are receiving? I only see the regents gift aid, but not the breakdown of any other financial aid. I haven’t SIR yet. Can anyone guide me???
When do you guys think the next batch will be coming? Maybe this Friday you think?
@Solstice1 I wish I could say yes, but it’s impossible to know right now. I certainly hope it’s this Friday.
I’ll hopefully be visiting the campus in the coming weeks!
It’s been a little over three weeks, so there’s some hope that we may get another batch this Friday; however, if the batches are released in the same manner as they have been over the past few years, then were looking at April 15.
I really hope so too 
I don’t think we will be hearing this Friday. Last year didn’t hear anything until the 17th, so I am guessing this year they might tell us on either the 15th or the 22nd.
