I got into Muir but what’s good about it? I applied to Muir because. I heard it was the best school on campus. I’m a structural engineering major.
What qualities differentiate Muir from the other colleges at UCSD?

AHHHHHHHH
I have an emergency question. I am applying as a freshman at a uc. I will have 53 units by spring quarter but I applied as a junior because I have 62 units before I started this year from ib exams and ap. So technically I’d have 115. Do ap and ib exams satisfy the 90 unit requirement? I just thought of this now because I didn’t receive anything today and was like this is probably why ~X(
@Princetonian9 Yep, APs and IBs count as long as they don’t overlap with GE courses.
Bless your soul! @LynAmmo
@theav8tr Congrats on your admission. I am an admit to Public Policy as well. They slotted me to 6th college. I noticed you mentioned you are missing 1 pre-req? I was not able to take Comparative Politics this semester due to my work schedule. Looking to take it this summer. What are you missing and why public policy? Did you apply to UC Riverside? I was accepted into their Public Policy major. If not for me being local to San Diego and having a younger child, I would seriously consider it.
@BoredEngineer Muir only requires (1) upper division writing class if you are IGETC certified. It has the fewest gen ed requirements for incoming transfer students.

Anyone know the name of the new transfer building at UCSD, I remember looking it up, but I can’t find it lol
Good luck to everyone and congrats whoever has heard back good news already!
Honestly so relieved I got placed into Muir. Just one writing class that we need.
@Bastig17 the only thing I have read so far is that the Transfer students are housed at The Village at Torrey Pines! Sounds nice but have yet to see where it is and what it looks like
Are you guys going to Transfer Triton Day?
Crossing my finger for those who haven’t heard yet! Hopefully they roll out through the weekend.

I’m surprised I was accepted with such a low gpa. I thought my essays were well written and showed my passion. From what I’ve read SD doesn’t read essays but that may not be the case? I felt like they definitely a big part of why I got accepted. I think this shows that gpa may not always be the biggest factor in admissions decisions.
I applied to UCSD not expecting to get in and I’m kind of confused on the six colleges. What is the point, and difference between all of them?
@Bastig17 omg i think you’re the only other ERC I’ve seen so far but ayyyy
@brpere1175 I’m going to Transfer Triton Day!!
