It was really difficult emotionally to accept the fact that I received C haha
My GPA has been declining for the last 3 semesters… People tell you that you have to deal with these professors but I always thought that they are f**king with our future by making these classes unnecessarily difficult… I mean, after all, there some classes that I may have gotten a better letter grade if I had sufficient amount of time to put into, but taking Math, Phys, and Chem all at once was quite difficult.
I’ve heard that either UC schools do take the course load into account, but I’m not sure. I guess I’m trying to hold on to the slight hope that we still have haha

I got Bs in calc 3 and my calc based physics electricity and magnestism course. Those were my major pre req B’s.
I also have two other B’s (circuits, discrete math) and a C (intro to c++) but those classes aren’t major pre reqs for structural engineering.
My major GPA is 3.74 and my overall is 3.68.
I think my personal statements made me stand out and got me admitted because the school has my estimated grant aid at 11k out of 14k I would need to pay to attend the university. I explained why my GPA lowered substantially for a semester. Additionally my ECs are solid and nothing to scoff at. Tons of research in specific subjects like chaos theory and statstical thermodynamics. Alot of leadership on my community college campus, I’m a tutor for various programs at my community college and I’ve done a paid research internship with NASA.
I got admitted by around 3:20 pm today, general bio with 3.7x
The housing trick worked for me.
The trick is:
First, you log in to https://ucsd.offcampuspartners.com/, then log in with your A1… number and password. If you see your .ucsd email, there’s a high chance that you get admitted.

@brpere1175 I’d be down. I’m planning to go with my mom, dad, and brother, and potentially my friend. Do you think it’s okay if my friend goes? She hasn’t applied/been admitted but she wanted to go see the campus and get some information before she applies for Fall 2018
