Noticed that my boyfriend and I got different email from UCSD. I just got an email from UCSD to check my status and it doesnt have any pictures and just says to check out the decision. For hom, it has a lot of pictures and a video, which implies an acceptance. :s
When is all of this happening? Dates please lol

No… my boyfriend on 21st, and I got email today.
We promised each other to check together but as we match our emails they look so different. So it’s obvious that I will be getting a waitlist or rejected.
Too afraid to check. Is there anyone who got accepted received different emails like me?
I don’t understand this situation…I have a 4.0 and was already accepted with Regents ($15k both years) to UC Davis with all major prereqs and IGETC completed for Econ. If I get rejected from UCSD, that’s a horrid sign for Cal. And does UCSD review personal statement, cuz for Davis they said they read them only for Regents not for general admissions.
UCSD does not read personal statements according to most people on this thread who have talked to admissions counselors
I think you may be a little bit behind on being notified of your acceptance. I wouldn’t stress out yet.
@TransfertoUCLA Maybe they sent those emails for the first wave to try and get them to go to ucsd, they probably started sending your email to everyone after the 21st
That’s just silly–why would they not look at personal statements for admission consideration? There’s a reason why they ask for them. If they didn’t weigh them into the decision, they would not ask for them.
@Pickwilliams Look through the thread for your answer or maybe someone here will chime in.
In previous years UCSD did not consider personal statements, though they did read our personal insight responses this year.

There’s no reason to think they don’t read the personal statements. People enjoy spreading rumors here for some reason. Here’s a quote from UCSD regarding the transfer admissions review process: “Every application, including the personal insight questions, is reviewed. Consideration is given for the specific factors, primarily academic, listed below.”
Yup just came across that…so some UC’s review others don’t. Someone earlier in the thread who talked with an admissions counselor said they didn’t
@badmintongirl I received a call as well. When I called back, a student rep from the undergrad admissions office congratulated me on my acceptance and invited me to Transfer Triton Day. She also gave me some insight into my intended major, as she is completing the same one.
@doublek20 “people enjoy spreading rumors” I think that’s a bit of a stretch. Everyone on here is trying to get the most accurate information from a pool of resources.
