A little bit lower than my overall, I’m not exactly sure though. Probably like 3.37-3.40ish
Still nothing. Wow. I probably lost 10 years of my life between last Friday and today.
Still waiting on a decision as well! My brother goes to UCSD, so this is one of my top choices. I’m a psych major with am emphasis in social psych.
Good luck to all of you and congratulations to those of you who have already been admitted.
I think everyone checked their portals around 3ish and got their acceptances? I was at work but I got my e-mail exactly at 4:15pm that Friday (4/21), about an hour or so after everyone logged into the portal.
People got some responses yesterday so I’d expect some emails today at the normal time 3-5 and some phone calls in the evening.
@lenocturne Lol same. This week will be a blur if we end up having to wait until Friday at 3pm.
Why did people apply for a capped major for both their first and alternate choice? Doesn’t that completely negate their chances if they don’t get in for the capped major?
Because people want to be in that major? Or something similar to their studies.
Well thanks @itskelvinn 8->. Well I’m a freshman and I thought that I had to have all the prereqs done for both my primary and alternate majors. I only have everything done for anything bio so I thought I was confined to 2 capped majors, I didn’t think I’d get into my secondary one if I didn’t have the prereqs.
Has anyone gotten a rejection yet?
So yesterday was only waitlists and Friday was only acceptances?
@justinmega1 that must mean that the next wave is gonna be… :))
@dtretyak :((
The wait sucks.
@itskelvinn mmm… because they don’t want to graduate with a degree in philosophy after studying engineering for 2-3 years (almost 5 in my case) in a community college? Because degree matters? Because they don’t see a reason to put out $20K a year for a major they don’t see themselves in? Idk, all seem like valid reasons to me.
I also put 2 capped majors on my app. But even if I chose something that was not capped, I would never go for it. What’s the point? Just to get some BA/BS?
No offense, philosophy majors, I am only using philosophy here to emphasize the absurdity of UCSD admission process. Philosophy was one of my favorite subjects and if I weren’t so set on engineering, I would totally pursue a degree in it, maybe even think about law school.
Im seriously losing hope. This process so so frustrating. Hopefully 3-5 today they will let us know.
Waaaaiitinnn
@axoltyl i saw that you got waitlisted as a global health major which is what i applied with. Do you mind telling me what you gpa was and if you tagged? sorry i haven’t gotten a response yet so i just want to see what my chances are so far, i would really appreciate it.
Waiting for 3pm…
I got accepted on Friday for Environmental Systems and Ecology
