UCSD Fall 2017 Transfer Thread

@lexluther96 CCC, here in San Diego actually. a lot of my schools students go to either SDSU or UCSD. im just confused because im seeing high GPAs get rejected? considering how low the SIR percentages tend to be, it seems kinda rude of them to reject people that really deserve it, idk… kinda in shock rn.

Rejected
Computer Science 3.76
I don’t even get in as undeclared. Omg i feel so bad TvT

lol 3.7 math major rejected missing 1 pre req IGETC done.

Rejected.

There’s only like 3 people a year who apply as math majors lmao and i got rejected

I was thinking the same thing. I applied for Japanese Studies (of which a wapping 5 people graduated from a few years ago) with a 3.8. I’m not sure what my options are now as I cannot afford to go out of San Diego.

@UCSDenied Appeal. Yours may be a mistake, idk what your essays were like, but there seems to be an issue with all the stats I’m seeing being rejected rn.

@SmartEzra 3.8 GPA with 1 pre-req not done, IGETC all done, awesome essays, ECs like my own app and a bunch of internships. Rejected also. hahahahah. UCD here I come :slight_smile:

Decision: Rejected

Major: Computer Science

@AdamA Good luck in Davis <3 Bye SD, Irvine here I come ;-;

@gabyitzelq1 Did you complete all of the prereqs, IGETC, and 60+ UC transferrable units?

@LynAmmo thanks for the advice. I think I will appeal, I guess the worst that can happen is they say no, but thats no worse than now :slight_smile:

I dont know how the hell i got accepted, I have like a 3.0 GPA

@SmartEzra chin up! Either way we’re getting excellent education

This is really weird… I don’t know why people with such high GPAs are being rejected. What is going on…

I think people might have ULink or applied to non-capped major.
