I wonder if there’s a figure on how many transfers applied this year? I found one from last year but not this. Last year was like 18,500 transfer applied. I assume this year it was a little more.
Good to know about April 21 being the date we should find out. Hopefully I hear tomorrow but I won’t get my hopes up.
@blackonyx I tried looking for exact application numbers but it looks like they haven’t been released for SD yet (other UC’s have), SD seems to have only released the freshman number.
@enpz45 Me too! Only a couple of people from last year’s thread reported receiving notifications at 11:30 AM on Saturday (tomorrow, March 11), so I’m not expecting to hear anything, although it would be nice!
All this constant checking on acceptance and rejection of universities is causing me trouble to focus on my essays. I would prefer to know if I’m going to get rejection because the wait is killing me lol
Accepted!!! I was so surprised the decision came out so early!! I didn’t get an email or anything, I just checked the portal.

Also, has anyone who’s been accepted so far receive an email that their status had been posted? Or were you all just checking out of curiousity?
No email, no phone call. I was observing all the conversations here and on a lark checked the portal.
FYI, UCR’s was down, UCB is posting late April, UCLA hasn’t posted yet. For any locals it appears CSUSM and SDSU have not as well.
I guess if the rest of us don’t hear by this weekend, we’ll be waiting till April 21st like what happened last year.

I really wish they could just release them at once. I don’t really see how it’s fair to let some people know a month before the rest. I was trying to find a pattern of people that we’re notified early but their GPA’s vary and no Regents scholars yet, and the majors differ so I have no clue how they’re choosing who to send first. Maybe they don’t have everyone done yet and they’re just sending whatever’s been decided on?
After reading the 2015 and 2016 threads 100 times (seriously, lol), I noticed that in both years some students we’re notified on Saturday, Sunday night, and Monday (this weekend/week). Then there was a huge gap of the remainder of people not hearing until late April (the predicted date is April 21).

@doihaveashot2016 UCLA is my first choice (but due to it’s competitive nature I doubt I’ll get in), followed by UCSD. Definitely in my top 2!
