UCSD Fall 2018 Transfer Thread

@AyGrey Dude nice! What math? I’m in financial math/stats but am looking to transfer to pure math.

You pure or applied math? I’m applied math and if I don’t get into UCLA or Cal I’ll probably go with Santa Barbara as well.

nothing !!! and it’s 4 :frowning: ahhhhhh

Mine is still pending. Could still go up at 4:30 or 5 though so I’m hopeful.

@UCStudent951 You weren’t entitled to a CalGrant? That’s super weird. They usually help with 0EFC students. The total can be anywhere from 12,000 - 14,000 / year.

I’ve literally applied to 18 schools but none of them have stressed me out this much OH MY GOD JUST RELEASE IT IM DYING OVER HERE

i went from being really polite and nice and grammatically correct with my first couple of posts on cc to omgGgggG lOllzzzz so quickly LOL

I legit saw that “admitted” comment and I went straight to check my portal and it’s still pending

@lovela must…maintain…façade…dasfjasdkfjsad

@UCStudent951 @bcgyoo

Wait UCSB has applied math? I only saw Math and Math Science :open_mouth: !!! whattt…

I got admitted for Pre-Math. That’s all it says.

@ashxio same, and i became so disappointed

@lovela SAME. I almost posted “reeeee ;u;”. And then I cringed a bit. Sigh…

aint nobody got time for grammar and punctuation

UCSD IS LAGGING

I don’t think college matters if you’ve completed IGETC.

@flaminhaute do you know why being a one year transfer has anything to do with it? If i stay another year at the cc i’ll have too many credits to transfer. and frankly, i don’t wanna stay in my city :,(

@UCStudent951 Heck yeah! Let’s match each other Lol. Wait how did you apply for Applied Math? I never saw it on there I only applied for Math

@UCStudent951 Yeah I got ~18 k as well in grants but they offer loans upwards of 12,000 and 3000 work study. That’s ~ 30,000. 14 goes to tuition and fees, 16 goes to food and housing.

Hi
My major is Biotechnology and I got admitted to UCR, UC Davis waiting on UCSD.

Ucsd is my first school >UCD>UCR

I applied as Biotechnology for UCSD and UCD and cell biology for UCR. if I wanted to change my major to biochemical engineering for Davis, will they allow me to do so?

I completed all my IGETC and major classes for biotechnology and seen that if I wanted to switch to Biochemical engineering, I am only missing 1 class which is a cs class. I have a 3.01 GPA.

IM ABOUT TO CRY
