Rejected: UCB, UCI (mostly because I was missing a lot of pre-req’s)
Comments: I was originally denied from all the UC’s as a freshman. Went to CC right after I graduated to take summer classes and 20 unit loads for fall and spring semester. I wanted to go to UCSD from the start so I prioritized my schedule around them (taking Calc 3 instead of Diff. Equations for Berkeley). My advice for people wanting to perform 1-year transfers is to have only a couple UC’s in mind to transfer to and try to effectively plan your schedule around their requirements while taking as many units as possible at your CC. It especially helps if you have AP credits or college credits from high school.

Guys. I’m so emotional. I can’t believe I’m going to my dream school after nearly dropping out of college and battling bipolar disorder. I still can’t believe I made it this far. It doesn’t matter where you go for school as long as you get your degree and if you’re struggling I promise it gets better xoxo
