Hi, I was just wondering if UCSD started sending out transfer admission decisions because I heard that Irvine started.
Interesting. When I was there yesterday from noon onward I didn’t see many bikes but definitely a lot of students walking around. I didn’t get around to all of the campus though…I spent time walking around Warren and Revelle as well as near the bookstore, food court and student center.
@toronto99 Nope, not yet. They’ve only said “Late April”. Here’s a list of all of the dates or timelines for the UCs:

Hi guys I just want to add that registration for summer courses for transfer students start April 22nd. So UCSD might release transfer decisions 3rd week of april.
@bruins8clap Do you know what priority transfers have? Will all of the good classes be taken already?
^Are we able to sign up for summer classes prior to Fall session starting in 2019?
Hi, go to google and search ‘UCSD search class schedule’. Look up summer 2018 and summer 2017 classes that you want to take for summer 2019. Generally the class size will be the same. As far as priority registration for summer classes at UCSD: I looked at the enrollment times and current UC San Diego students start registration for summer April 15th. And for transfer students and freshman students it starts April 22nd. But note: this does not mean 100 percent that decisions are released April 22nd or before for transfer students. It might be the on the same week, however since April 22 is a monday.
As far as fall session goes for registering: you will register in early august. You can look it up online (enrollment times for transfer students), I assume it would be around the same time you go to transfer orientation.
UCSD is my target school, but in the light of UCSB rejection, I am not sure I can make it. We will see soon enough.
My School Rankings:
UCSD - target school
UCB - dream school
UCLA - dream school
UCI - not sure with this
UCSB - rejected (originally my safety school … lol)
UCD - applied but have no intention to go to this school, plan C only
UCSC - applied but have no intention to go to this school, plan C only
GPA: 4.00
@stdnt4ever Good luck! Update your result here when it comes out.
@stdnt4ever I’m sure you’ll get into UCSD. If you don’t mind me asking, what are your stats? I’m surprised you got rejected from SB with a 4.0
@stdnt4ever
Whats your major?
I got rejected from ucsb for econ even tho i had a 3.9 GPA, tagged it, and finished all the major reqs… im nervous for ucsd n all my other decisions
@lizzykkk how did you get rejected if you used TAG?
@lizzyyykkk Did you figure out if you were rejected from UCSB because of the Econ AP test not counting? If it isn’t that I have no idea why they would have rejected you with a 3.9 and TAG, so bizarre.
@stdnt4ever If you don’t mind sharing, do you have any ECs/work experience and/or what did you write your essays about? Bizarre that SB rejected someone with a 4.0
I called and they said that it is because of my ap score because its technically ‘not completed’ but i have friends who arent even enrolled in required fields such as calc for my major that got into ucsb.
Basically other people at my cc have incomplete transcripts but still got into the major when i didnt.
@willowstil
@lizzyyykkk Man that sucks, I’m really sorry I’m sure you’ll get accepted to some other great schools though, especially those that will take the AP scores. Good luck!
@toronto99 & @willowstil
honors student, tutor, president’s list, some unpaid internships, part-time jobs (14-16hr/week), some ec’s, pretty good essays I suppose.
@lizzyyykkk major: pre-econ
Reasons for rejection: I was considered as a risky applicant because I am currently taking ~30 units in the spring semester at ccc’s, taking managerial acct, calculus 2 & honors courses among others while working 14-16 hrs in a retail business. When I contacted the admission office, they encouraged me to appeal because my mid-semester grade reports still show all A’s :).
igetc & all prerequisites will be completed by spring
@stdnt4ever
Nice! Hopefully you get in through appeal then! They also told me that i would be a strong applicant for appeal since i have all As and just missing macro. But i think iam going to wait and see the other college decisions before i send an appeal.
Best of luck!
@lizzyyykkk
I hope you get in through appeal, too. Same here, I am going to wait and see. I am taking so many units in Spring because I am a one year transfer trying to finish 60+ college units to be eligible for transfer. I mistakenly did not use my AP credits when I filled in my application back in November :).
