I’m glad you got into UCSC. They have a great CS program there with growing connects to Silicon Valley.
Most UCs dont TAG for CS. The closest thing to TAG at a UC for CS is Computer Engineering at UCI (Besides UCSC of course).
ucsc, ucr, ucd, and ucm all have tag for cs

You can TAG CS at UCD but it has a 3.5 requirement
Did the forms of California residency for tuition purposes had a deadline? Do they impact acceptance?
I don’t think they should impact acceptance they are just for tuition purposes so it might impact financial aid. I am not sure though.
Do we think there is any chance UCSD will release decisions today?
Thanks, irish. I thought I read CS was a major that couldn’t be tagged, because of the number of students seeking spots.
The 3.5 requirement is effective for 2022 Fall applicants. 2021 Fall Applicants needed only a major GPA of 3.4.
Logged into my portal and it was updated since yesterday.
Now states an email will be sent when decisions are available in portal.

Really mine still says no later than April 30th
I am almost certain yesterday it stated “applications are being reviewed” and you will be notified no later than April 30th. Today it states “application decisions” you will be notified no later than April 30th. I could be wrong though and just losing it
mine still says application decisions and nowhere does my portal say awaiting decision
Yeah mine still says reviewing applications for fall 2021 but Im pretty sure they’ll come out Friday hopefully
Mine has the same thing as yours, it did change, hummm
So we are hopeful for this week? I feel like SD has been hard to speculate on, they have released on Thursdays in the past. Could be tomorrow or friday?
I was just wondering if anyone knows if UCSD takes a more hollistic approach to admissions? I know UCSB supposedly doesn’t even read essays and I am hoping and praying that UCSD is not the same way
Yes SD reads the essays and considers based on applicants overall strength
thank you for easing some of my anxiety
