Yes, the new message is the one you have. The old message that’s been showing for the last few months is the one that says “your admissions status does not allow you to…”

My son’s message hasn’t changed. Still the old message about admissions status doesn’t allow… He didn’t get the call or Regents. However, his stats are good. Hoping this is not a bad sign.

Wait, for those who got Regents, did they get notified via email or was it mentioned in the call?

I don’t think UCSD has notified any Regents yet, except perhaps informally in the call.

Friend who got the call has the “new message”. He is a freshman applicant as well.

Is there anybody who got the updated message and didn’t get accepted?

@swiftswimmer I know a couple people without calls who got the update.

@timng13, just because you haven’t gotten called doesn’t mean you are not accepted. It just means you haven’t been called yet. So the theory here is that if you got the change, it may be a sign of acceptance tommorow.

I’d like to know if anyone got told they were accepted and does NOT have the updated message.

@usmc0311 I know, but things aren’t looking good for me considering no call and no update.

I would also like to know if anybody got accepted and did not get the updated message.

Daughter’s portal has the new “housing will become available in the spring” message; has not received an early acceptance phone call.

^ If this trick is legitimate, that could mean she’ll be accepted tomorrow.

Has anyone figured out yet whether all applicants who will see acceptances on their portals tomorrow will currently see their UCSD housing application state “housing will become available in the spring”? If that’s the case, then all applicants whose current housing application says “admissions status will not let you proceed with this Housing Application” will see rejections tomorrow?

@tasmom - I hope not! LOL - we still have the original message.

I just was rejected from UC Davis and have the new message… good chance I was probably rejected from UCSD too so take that as you will. I don’t believe the housing trick is legit.

@Collegesplz, just because you were rejected at Davis doesnt mean you will be rejected at SD. If you have the new message, I think you are in!

Any meaning?

@samcmanus: If you look at the Class of 2018 Decisions thread, it seems that everyone now has that message, regardless of whether they originally had the first or second message…
