<p>On their website, UCSD says</p>
<p>"You should apply for Housing online as soon as you receive your admit letter, usually mid- to late-March. There is no fee to apply and no penalty for declining to sign the housing contract, so we highly recommend you apply even before you decide to attend UC San Diego or submit your Statement of Intent to Register (SIR)".</p>
<p>Does anybody know how to apply without having to submit the SIR? I want to do the housing application ASAP, but I'm totally lost on how to apply.</p>

<p>I was wondering about this too! I clicked on the “Apply now!” button on the housing site and it took me right back to MyApplication with my welcome letter…</p>

<p>For “services and amenities,” does a “shared bathroom” mean shared with 5-6 other people or does it mean a communal bathroom shared by everyone else on the floor? Some other colleges differentiate between “communal” and “shared,” so I wanted to double check.</p>
<p>Depends on the living arrangements of the college I believe… I know TMC is suite style so the bathrooms are shared among like 8 people.</p>
<p>Muir “shared bathrooms” were 3 toilet stalls and 2 shower stalls for a wing of around 9-10 people.</p>

<p>Wait nvm. In the FAQ they stated that we will receive a housing brochure in our admit packets. It will contain information on how to apply for on campus housing. I believe these packets will arrive by mail within the next few days.</p>
